BALTIMORE, Md. (12/18/17)- Men’s Lacrosse assistant coach Mike Cleary has been named the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) /Hudl Division III Assistant Coach of the Year.
The award was presented to Coach Cleary at the IMLCA Convention in Baltimore on Dec. 8th. Brad Ross from Ohio State University and Brendan Storrier from Limestone College were recognized as the Division I and II assistants of the year, along with Cleary.
Cleary has been a men’s lacrosse assistant since 1978 and coached under the guidance of the legendary Hawley Waterman. As a student-athlete, he was a member of Kean’s first men’s lacrosse team in 1970.

I only knew Mike for a short time, from attending our ROMEO lunches, but he made me feel like I had for much longer. Very interesting, a pleasure to talk to, kind hearted and always put a smile on my face.
