William Joseph Kennedy passed away on May 8th, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after an extended illness at the age of 84.

William (Bill) grew up in Garwood, NJ. He went to High School at Johnson Regional in Clark, NJ where he excelled in sports. He went on to Graduate from Kean College with a Bachelor’s degree. He taught 3rd and 6th grades at Littleton School in Parsippany, NJ for several years. He then dabbled in several other jobs before becoming Director of Patient Relations at Robert Johnson University Hospital for the remainder of his working career.

Bill is predeceased by his father Frank Kennedy, his mother, Marjorie, his brother, Frank Jr, and his wife Eileen.

He is survived by his son, John Kennedy (Amy) and his daughter Kathleen Kennedy. His grandsons Tyler, Sean and Andrew Kennedy. His brother Richard Kennedy and his sisters Marjorie and Ruth Kennedy.

Bill remained an enthusiastic athlete throughout his life. He was loved and respected by our extended family of nieces and nephews and loving friends.

He spent the last 20 years residing in Naples, Florida where he enjoyed a retirement of relaxation playing golf, bowling and always making new friends.
