W. Craig Eggimann, also known as “Flash”, Honey, Daddy, & Friend, completed his earthly Journey on Wednesday, April 25, 2001 . For 51 brief years, he brought wondrous gifts to all who knew him. His humor and kindness made us love him; his Intelligence and support made us admire him: and his integrity and sense o1 fairness made us honor him. Craig leaves us quite a legacy that will live on In his family and friends; and for that we are grateful.
Born ln Newark, New Jersey on October 20, 1949. Craig graduated from Kean College with a B.A. in English In 1973. He earned his nickname ”Flash” as an aviation Instructor and carrier pilot for the U.S. Navy. Had not his love for flying lured him Into an airline career with Continental, we’re convinced he would have been a champion surfer, a world famous pianist, a star on the comedy circuit, or the American Ambassador to Spain – all of which he would of done with quite a passion.
Craig moved on to the next life with this one in rare alignment. It brings us comfort to this profound loss to know his home, family, career, spiritual and social spheres were complete and fulfilling.
Craig will live dally the hearts of the love of his Ille and wife of 25 years, Gail Protinsky-Eggimann; his beautiful daughters, Jessi and Caitlin; his five sisters, Katie-Jo Beckett. Robyn Rabe, Jan McDonnell, Tina Callahan, and Jeanna Fitzgerald; his lifelong best friends, JJ Somer, Don Kuehnle, and Tom Shucott; and all of us whose lives he touched.

Craig Eggimann . . . what a character, funny and unique. I liked Craig from the moment we met on campus and I introduced him to his wife Gail, a fellow art student. Coincidentally he became the Marine flight instructor for my younger Brother Paul, a surprise encounter and they too got along very well. Will always have good memories of Craig!
