A Mass for Gregory L. Rhodes, 50, of Clifton will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Clare Church, Clifton, following the funeral from the Allwood Funeral Home, 660-670 Allwood Rd., Clifton.
Mr. Rhodes, who died Wednesday in St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic, was a history teacher at Nutley High School for 28 years before retiring last year. He received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Kean University in Union.
He was a member of the National and New Jersey Education Associations, and was the director of the National Honor Society program at Nutley High School.
Mr. Rhodes served in the Army during the 1970s.
Born in Passaic, he lived in Clifton most of his life.
Surviving are his parents, Rita and Stanley Rhodes.
