Phi 1978 – 1979
James P. Krieg, 1978 Phi Pledge Class of our Sigma Beta Tau Fraternity, died at his home in Brick, NJ on April 1, 2015, he was but 57 years of age.
He was born in Jersey City and lived in Freehold and E. Brunswick before moving to Brick in 2005.
James graduated from Freehold Borough H.S. in 1975, and he would enter Kean University shortly thereafter and pledged the Sigma Beta Tau Fraternity in 1978. As much as he would move on from Kean, and finish his undergraduate work at Thomas Edison College, where he received his Bachelor’s in Chemistry, he remained an active member of Sigma Beta Tau, and in his later years was active in its Alumni Association.
James was an avid SciFi fan and loved old movies. He also enjoyed traveling with his brother Joe and they shared many adventures together over the years.
James is survived by his siblings, Joseph, Michael, Barbara, Loretta, Margaret, Ethel and Ann, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his loving family and his host of brothers from the Sigma Beta Tau Fraternity.
A memorial gathering was held at the Colonial Funeral Home in Brick, NJ
