Michael “Mike” Lawrence Rowan, 57, died February 8, 2024, at his home in Houston, TX, with family by his side.

Mike was born November 2, 1966 in Montclair, NJ, to Thomas and Treena Rowan. He was the 2nd youngest of five. 

He spent his childhood and teen years moving between New Jersey and Texas. He graduated from Kean college with an accounting degree and went on to be a financial analyst with a few different companies. He was laid off from HP in 2016 and decided to start his own business. He had always loved working outdoors and did not want to be stuck at a desk anymore. He started a fence and landscaping business in 2018. The business started to take off. In December of 2020 he was diagnosed with cancer. He did not let that keep him down. By the end of 2021 he was able to get back to the job he loved and he was out building fences everyday. 

He is survived by his wife, Tara Rowan, married December 2, 2006 (Houston, TX) and multiple dogs and cat. His mother and father, Treena and Thomas Rowan (Houston). His siblings: Terri Rowan (Israel), Christina Rowan (Houston), P.J. Rowan (Houston) and Tommy Rowan (Florida) and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
