Services for Roger Lee Mond of 73 Grove St., were held Tuesday in St. John’s Baptist Church, Scotch Plains. The Rev. Kelmo Porter officiated. Interment was in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Mond died Thursday in East Orange General Hospital. He was 27. Born in Philadelphia, Penn., he lived in Montclair a short time. Mr. Mond had attended Newark State College where he was elected coordinator of student activities in 1969. He was a veteran of Vietnam conflict having served as captain in the 101st Airborne Infantry Division.
Surviving are his wife Jacqueline Mond ; a son, Kevin Lee Mond, his mother and stepfather, Orella Colley and Walter Colley of Scotch Plains; two sisters, Mrs. Diana Randall of Newark and Mrs. Mildred Robinson of Philadelphia; two brothers, Randall Mond of Scotch Plains and Joseph Mond Jr. of Philadelphia, and a step grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn Storey.
